Resumen:
In this part, we focus on analysis of the job transformation in China. We know that China has experienced deep structural changes in the last four decades in terms of economic opening that include liberalization of labor markets and privatization. How do economic changes affect job satisfaction? Applying the latent growth curve (LGC) model and LGMM for job satisfaction, we found that in the individualized society, under the principle of capitalist rule of accumulation, human capital and meritocracy prevail. The results show that guanxi has a profound effect on happiness as on job satisfaction. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
