Resumen:
``El fardo'' is an atypical Dario's short-story; he was originally
satisfied by it but later on he decided not to continue writing within
that narrative model. The subject sends to a direct social reality.
Notwithstanding the author's judgments it stands as an achieved modern
short-story notorious in its ``convenient form''. Zola and Hugo's
influences are visible.
