Resumen:
This paper reviews two poems written by Jose Emilio Pacheco, whose last versions appear under the unifying title ``Manuscript of Tlatelolco (October the 2nd 1968)'', though each one was created and published long before and at a different time. The first one, presented as a personal creation, would rather correspond to a retranslation, from a traditional point of view; the second, presented as an ``approximation'', questions the very essence of the great number of translations made by the author. The union of both poems reveals a new one, which resets its significance in a dialogical manner. In this rewriting, which is actually a retranslation, Pacheco achieves a great translation, ultimate text of two analogue and tragic episodes in Mexican History.
