The other side of the superoxide radical anion: its ability to chemically repair DNA oxidized sites

Resumen:
The superoxide radical anion can repair oxidative damage. In particular, it was demonstrated that O-2(-) can repair oxidized DNA by electron transfer, restoring the original structure of this important molecule. Acid-base equilibria have been considered, and the influence of the pH on the main reaction mechanism has been explored.
