Resumen:
Currently the aim of education is to build knowledge in new generations
attending to the needs of the time, so it is necessary to adapt the
teaching-learning strategies to current generations in the classroom. We
decided to use and analyze the Blog ``Bioestudio54'' (private) of the
discipline Biology, to improve the communication between teacher and
student and to increase the student's motivation in a public high school
that belongs to Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. The blog was
created in the first half of 2014, in order to be a collaborative space
and joint production. We hypothesized that cyberspace improved
production and processing of knowledge. We introduced in the blog
``Project-Based Learning'' exercises in one group and in other group
we used this teaching strategy in the classroom. Our results show the
responses in both groups were homogeneous (Standard Chi square X2 =
7.6933, df = 5, P-value = 0.174, Chi square simulating the P-value for
Monte carlo, 1 million simulations, X2 = 7.6933, P-value = 0.1826,
fisher standard test P-value = 0.1742). Therefore we concluded that this
teaching strategy is equally effective whether in the classroom or using
a blog. Although the blog was perceived for students as a very pleasure
studying resource (students personal communication).
