Resumen:
This work's aim is to share two digital resources that positively
contribute on pharmacy student's learning of specific subjects belonging
to their curricular training. With these resources, based on a critical
use of information and communication technologies, it is expected to:
1 Improve the quality and pertinence of students' training programs and
increase the equal access to methods, technologies and elements which
favour their preparation and performance.
2 Use the wide range of available technologies in order to increase the
coverage, improve terminal efficiency and enlarge the number of
graduates.
3 Boost pharmacy students' learning using different resources as an
academic blog and a massive online open course about important subjects
as: Pharmaceutical care and Intellectual property.
This works uses a free access platform, which the professor is able to
use without the necessity of a high IT expertise and the most important
aspects are the content and the way that it is presented on the
resource. The digital resource is continuously being updated with new
information that nourishes the experiences and favourable results
included in the same resource. Therefore, it enables students to venture
into and share their own results obtained from Educational Research
Projects and share their obtained results.
The blog has been a resource which has allowed to access to pertinent
information in relation with pharmaceutical care in traditional medicine
and the MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) has introduced us into new
dynamics which, despite the fact that at the beginning teachers were
less familiar with its methods, have enabled the introduction of new
topics and areas, providing us with a marvellous experience.
Intellectual property is a current affair on the pharmaceutical field
considering that it is related with creations of the mind: inventions,
literary and artistic works, as well as symbols, names and images used
in the pharmaceutical commercial sector. Hence, coming up with
activities and creative ways of managing information, it has contributed
to grow as a professional educator.
Both resources have been designed and constructed based on technological
platforms, nevertheless, without a doubt teaching experience and
knowledge have been two very important pillars on the construction of
digital resources which favours students ` learning.
