Resumen:
The multispectral and panchromatic SPOT images of the southeastern Sierra de Guanajuato were used to relate the structural lineaments with the existence of ore deposits. The images were studied with the SPIPERII (INEGI-IBM) software in several scales. Two types of lineaments were found: circular (with diameters from 1 to 8 km) and linear (ranging in length from 1 to 22 km). These features correspond to volcanic structures of rhyodacitic dome type, intrusive tonalitic structures and normal faults of several ages. All of them are very important in the control of endogenic mineralization distribution.
