Resumen:
On the base of geologic mapping, chemical analysis of rocks, stream sediments and soils, the natural sources of metals like Cr-Ni were identified. The relation of the gabbroidic rocks of the Sierra de Guanajuato with contamination with Cr-Ni at the Silao river's basin was established. The surface distribution and dispersion at the mountain ranges and at the low lands were analysed, and zones with anomalous contents of Cr-Ni were located.
