Resumen:
Objective: The present paper gives recent information about the fungal isolation, infection and disease produced by Histoplasma capsulatum in wildlife. Report on wildlife mammals: Infection has been reported in several animal species corresponding to 30 genera, 12 families and six mammalian orders, where 37 of the cited species belong to the order Chiroptera (bats).
