Resumen:
Three aquifers which are interconnected and constitute a recharge system, are revealed by a hydrogeological map. The outflow is artificial and exceeds the recharge, according to the hydraulic balance and piezometric analysis covering twenty years. This analysis shows that the water level is dropping one metre per year, with overall flow from the north to the south of the region. The undergroundwater quality of the basin is adequate for all uses, but signs of organic and inorganic pollution are appearing in the Tellez and Tizayuca zones. -R.Hardbottle
