Resumen:
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) characterisation of rubber-reinforced plastics was performed. First, the gel phase of various commercially-available plastics was separated from the matrix by using a sonification process. The composition of the degraded and non-degraded samples was obtained by NMR and also refractometry measurements were carried out in order to have a standard for comparison, in addition to the nominal content reported by the manufacturer. The results show that this method provides a very good way for elucidating the rubber content in these types of samples. © 1992.
