Resumen:
Amorphous Fe100-xZrx(x=7, 8) thin films were deposited by coevaporation in ultrahigh vacuum on NaCl crystal substrates held at room temperature. In-situ crystallization studies were carried out by transmission electron microscopy. First evidence of crystallization as obtained in the electron diffraction pattern at 763 K for x=7 and 840 K for x=8. The first obtained crystalline phase was ?Fe and for high temperatures, ?Fe coexisted with a fcc, a ?11 Å phase for x=7, whereas for x=8, besides these two phases, a third one was obtained (also fcc, a?6.5 Å). These two phases can be identified as Fe3Zr and Fe 2Zr, respectively. These results are discussed on the basis of the Fe-Zr phase diagram.
