Resumen:
The energy. What mysteries does it hold? for both scholars and laymen in science. The former use, or calculate, the energy with certainty, and the latter only know of its existence. However, both understand, and share the same idea: Energy is everything, it is life and the universe itself. For those outside of science, it is enough to understand that it is very important in their daily life, for science scholars themselves it is enough to know that its existence is of great importance in everything that occupies a volume in space; but what is energy? In advanced science courses today, energy is a dogma for students and a puzzle for educators; however, it is a phenomenon used with great certainty of its existence and with small uncertainties in its evaluation. Until today it has not been possible to define, understand or simply explain what energy is, but we know that it is real, it exists and governs everything that surrounds us. In the present work, a concept of energy is proposed from the philosophical point of view, sustained more as a real entity than an imaginary one. © 2024 Sociedad Mexicana de Fisica.
