Denitrification is an anaerbic respiratory process iwhich nitrogn oxides, generally nitrates, act as elecon acceptors 245 Modelado de la bi degradacon en bio reactores de lodo de hidro arburos t tale del petroleo replacing oxygen. Among the many denitrifying bacteria, there is Paracoccus denitrificans; a gram-negative, non-fermentative coccoid microorganism whose denitrifying respirome has great similarity to the mitochondrial respiratory chain.
