Resumen:
In this chapter, we explore the concept of the human condition in the philosophy of technique. In this analysis, we examine the perspectives of José Ortega y Gasset and Martin Heidegger regarding the significance of technique in understanding the human condition. Additionally, we consider the contemporary city and language as ontological devices that play a role in discussing techniques. We also discuss art as an ontological device that can help us understand the impact of techniques and technologies on the world, including climate change. The chapter concludes that art produces the sensible world and that, in doing so, it addresses the ontological issue of technique and its impact on spaces and subjectivities. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
