Resumen:
This article analyses the judgments and evaluations that make up the knowledge about the obtaining and use of wealth, as well as the representation of material fortune within the stories, sentences and exempla in the Libro del cavallero Zifar. It aims as well to highlight the influence that these elements would have on the practices, individual and social habits of listeners or readers; judgments, evaluations and representations that can be considered a politics of wealth. The focus of this analysis aims to fix the relevance of material wealth in this book, since the evolution of the main story is driven by Zifar's desire to recover the lost splendour of his lineage, since the rise of the hero and his family depends directly on the possession of material fortune, as usually occurs in a society of classes such as the one represented.
