Resumen:
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of signaling or not signaling the delays of reinforcing of 2 or 6 s in combination with intertrial intervals (ITI) of 15 or 45 s on the percentage of correct responses in a conditional discrimination task. Four groups of rats were formed. For the four groups, the delay was signaled during the acquisition phase. In a second phase the signal was eliminated, while in a redetermination the signal was presented again. A higher percentage of correct responses was found when the reinforcement delay was 2 s and when the ITI was 45 s. The elimination of the signal resulted in a decrease of the accuracy in all the groups, being lower in those with an ITI of 45 s. The results are contrasted with the findings reported in the area. © 2018 Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. All Rights Reserved.
