Resumen:
To obtain reliable information extraction applications has been one of the main goals of the biomedical text mining community. These applications are valuable tools to biologists in their increasingly difficult task of assimilating the knowledge contained in biomedical literature. This paper presents a novel algorithm for automatic classification of biomedical texts, specifically texts about symptoms. We apply our approach to biomedical texts related to hearing loss, obtaining promising results. © 2011 IEEE.
