Resumen:
The effect of octylguanidine on the growth of intact etiolated barley seedlings was tested. Inhibition of root and shoot growth was observed and this inhibition was partially relieved by addition of K+ to the culture medium. Octylguanidine probably inhibits growth of roots and shoots by interfering with the transport of K+ across the cell membrane. © 1986.
