Resumen:
A detailed, three-dimensional calculation of a steady free surface flow with recirculation patterns is performed. A simulator that includes a turbulence model is employed to carry out a suite of computations on a hypothetical water body with irregular geometry. A comparison of the relative importance of vertically-averaged stresses, momentum dispersive terms, and (horizontal) subgrid scale is presented. The importance of the dominating-horizontal-length-scale to depth ratio is shown.
