Resumen:
In order to determine the distribution of arid zones in Mexico, five aridity indices were used: 1) Evaporation, 2) Precipitation/Evaporation (P/E), 3) Precipitation/Temperature (P/T), 4) Thornwaite's moisture index, 5) Koppen's climatic system modified by Garcia. The extent of arid zones varies from 46.3% to 77.4%, depending on the dryness index used. -after English summary
