Resumen:
A study of the changes in the hardening of lead-doped NaCl under dissolution and precipitation of solid solutions is reported. Optical absorption measurements were performed in parallel with mechanical ones in order to obtain additional information on the change in state of the impurity ions in the samples. Values for the yield stress corresponding to coherent and incoherent precipitates of lead ions in NaCl have been determined. It is found that the increase in the hardening of freshly-quenched samples is proportional to C2/3 in the range of lead concentration 30?1200 ppm. © 1982 The Japan Society of Applied Physics.
