Synthesis and characterization of oxa and thia metallocanes substituted with phosphorodithioate ligands and crystal and molecular structure of 1,3,6-trithia-2-arsocane dimethylphosphorodithioate

Resumen:
We describe here the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of a series of oxa and thia metallocanes substituted with phosphorodithioate ligands, X(CH2CH2S)2MS2P(OR)2, where M = As, Sb, X = O, S and R = Me, Et, Prn, Pri, as well as the crystal and molecular structure of 1,3,6-trithia-2-arsocane dimethylphosphorodithioate (3). The crystal is monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 12.229(1), b = 10.021(1), c = 12.092(4) Å, ? = 106.01(1)°, V = 1424.3(4) Å3, Z = 4. In the unit cell of 3 there are no intermolecular interactions, so the compound in the solid state is monomeric. The molecule of 3 has a strong As?S transannular interaction (2.911 Å), the dithiophosphate ligand is coordinated as anisobidentate and the conformation of the AsS2C4S ring is boat-chair. The conformation of the eight-membered ring is compared with other arsocanes.
