Internal strain effects on the phase diagram of Ni-Pt alloys

Resumen:
An effective-cluster-volume approximation is introduced to describe the average effect of bond-length relaxations in an alloy with large size mismatch, e.g., Ni-Pt. It is shown that this approach leads to good agreement with the experimental critical temperatures and with the measured energy of formation of disordered alloys. © 1993 The American Physical Society.
