Resumen:
The second-order thermodynamic perturbation theory formulation of Barker and Henderson is used to derive the equation of state of the triangle-well fluid. This is combined with the rational function approximation to the radial distribution function of the hard-sphere fluid. Results are obtained for the critical parameters and the liquid-vapour coexistence curve for various values of the range of the potential. A comparison with available simulation data is presented. © 2012 Taylor & Francis.
