Resumen:
The recreation of vanished architectural environments must include precise simulation of illumination. Working on the reconstruction of Mesoamerican spaces and their visualization, we arrived at a stage in the project that necessitated investigation into natural lighting and the recreation of virtual environments created by various computer programs. In a previous study we compared Lightscape, Alias, RenderMan, and Blue Moon. The present work brings in the results obtained from Radiance, obtaining a visualization of solar illumination that predicts the physical work of the various components with great precision. User friendliness is reviewed, along with the product's power to obtain an unsullied architectural visualization. © 2001 IEEE.
