1-benzoate-2,3-diallylcarbonate glycerol (BDACG) was synthesized and its cast-polymerization by gamma and UV irradiation was studied. Transparent thermosetting polycarbonate (PC) and a branched PC were obtained. The percentage of PC is easily controlled by the dose of irradiation (gamma radiation), or exposured time (UV).1-benzoate-2,3-diallylcarbonate glycerol (BDACG) was synthesized and its cast-polymerization by gamma and UV irradiation was studied.
