Resumen:
A method to fabricate porous-silicon one-dimensional photonic crystals to produce photonic bandwidth up to 2000 nm was presented. It was observed that, it was possible to tailor the photonic band gap (PBG) of the dielectric mirrors for the partial ultraviolet (UV) and complete vissible-near infrared (NIR) range (from 356 to 2500) to acquire the desired wavelengths. It was found that mirrors were easy to prepare, selective, and more reflective than the commercially available Al mirrors.
