Resumen:
Case reports of a 53-year-old man and 52-year-old woman who had, over the course of 7 and 2 months respectively, retroocular pain, proptosis and ophthalmoplegia. The later patient also developed ipsilateral upper eyelid swelling and a subconjunctival lesion. In both cases, computed tomography (CT) demonstrated large superior and temporal orbital masses. Local excision was the treatment of choice. Considering the histopathological features by light microscopy, the diagnosis of the first case was changed. Immunohistochemistry was performed on the second case, confirming the original diagnosis of angiosarcoma (AS). The clinical, histopathologic and immunohistochemical features of both cases are analized in detail, and compared with previously reported cases in the literature.
